Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the great comments. I see from your blog you are in the process of remodeling an old house. That’s how I became interested in healthy buildings 25 years ago. My wife and I purchased a 1906 victorian which I proceeded to remodel. Unfortunately nobody warned me about the dangers of sanding lead paint. My two year old daughter, wife and myself all ended up with high lead blood levels. We were fortunate that my daughters pediatrician recognized the symptoms and was able to figure it out. I’ve been working with healthy construction every since.
“Extreme Weather Hits Home” is actually my second book. The first one “Prescriptions for a Healty House, A Practical Guide for Architects, Builders and Homeowners”. was written with an architect and an MD. It is sceduled to be released in an updated 3rd edition in May.
